We are thrilled to announce that TIEG has emerged victorious in the final evaluation of the Project to Support the Emergence of the Creative Economy in Guinea. This significant achievement underscores our commitment to fostering economic growth and job creation in Guinea through the dynamic realm of the creative economy.
The Project to Support the Emergence of the Creative Economy in Guinea was implemented between July 2021 and February 2024 with a goal to contribute to Guinea’s economic prosperity by harnessing the potential of the creative economy. Specifically, the project aimed to bolster the capacities of the fashion, design, and audiovisual sectors, fostering inclusive businesses and employment opportunities in urban and peri-urban areas of Conakry, Kindia, and Mamou. The key objectives are on one hand to strengthen capacities focusing on empowering creative entrepreneurs in fashion, design, and audiovisual domains. By enhancing their skills and knowledge, we aimed to create a robust ecosystem for sustainable business ventures and on the other hand to promote economic growth and job creation with a view to increase the number of economic operators and improve the performance of micro, small, and medium-sized enterprises (MSMEs) operating within these sectors.
TIEG is conducting the final evaluation assessing the project using the six standard DAC evaluation criteria: relevance, coherence, efficiency, effectiveness, sustainability, and impact and an additional EU-specific evaluation criterion—the EU added value.
The evaluation team of two deployed by TIEG started the activities in January and is expecting to complete the activities in April 2024.
Stay tuned for more updates as we continue our journey of transformation and progress!
