We are delighted to announce that C&M / NOOKOM has been awarded a new project in Argentina. The project aims to increase the visibility and awareness of EU support for the development of the Argentinian lithium value chain.
The overall objective of this project is to enhance EU-Argentina collaboration in the green and digital transitions, with a specific focus on developing the Critical Raw Materials (CRM) value chain, particularly in the lithium sector. The specific objective is to support to the EU´s Team Europe Working Group on Lithium/Critical Raw Materials in Argentina. This project aims to support the EU’s political and economic priorities in Argentina, emphasizing sustainable, socially, and environmentally responsible mining practices. The project will contribute to improving the visibility and understanding of the EU’s activities in Argentina’s lithium sector, notably, by encouraging trade and investment, and fostering capacity building along the CRM value chain. This multifaceted approach is structured around several key pillars, including CRM value chain development, research and innovation collaboration, adherence to environmental, social, and governance criteria, infrastructure deployment for CRM projects, and strengthening skills and training.
The work will start in January 2024 and is expected to be finalised in January 2025.
