The biodiversity and ecosystem in Africa are fragile and require maintenance. In order to provide such appropriate care, especially during the challenging Covid-19 Pandemic situation, stakeholders gathered in Bangui to present the yearly results of their actions and to elaborate future recommendations.
This “hybrid” conference gathered 40 participants from EU Delegations, Central African Republic officials and organisations linked with the “Programme d’Appui pour la Préservation de la Biodiversité et les Ecosystèmes Fragiles d’Afrique centrale (ECOFAC 6)”, including participants from the African national parks’ staff and on-line participants through a videoconferencing platform and tools. The aim of the event was to present the yearly results of the programme in this current challenging “covid-19” pandemic era and elaborate future recommendations.
For this project, C&M –service provider of NOOKOM- was entrusted with all logistic arrangements, both on-site (booking of venue with A/V equipment, badge production, printed & branded visuals, conference kits, hiring of the team of hostesses/stewards, and cameramen with their materials for the live streaming), as well as on-line (videoconference platform, technical support and assistance for presentations). Such event was particularly challenging to organise, considering a large storm affected the electricity network a few days before in Bangui, thus internet connections were frequently cut-off.
