The overall objective of this contract was to organize a regional conference to stimulate discussion among all conservation and green economy actors in Central Africa with a view to identifying operational recommendations for future actions.
The specific objective consisted according to the initial TOR of the organization of a three-day conference around the 30 years of the ECOFAC program (initially planned for the end of 2020 or 2021), but due to the COVID-19 pandemic, these activities have subsequently had to be adjusted according to two Administrative Orders (AOs), in order to organize a series of events in Libreville as soon as the health situation allowed. These two AOs only made adjustments in terms of the services to be provided around the “30 years of the ECOFAC 6 program”, but did not alter the maximum budget, which remained unchanged.
On the service provider’s side, NOOKOM/C&M supervised, planned and carried out all the tasks of this contract. The project was lead by NOOKOM/C&M Senior Expert and Event Coordinator, with a support provided by NOOKOM/C&M teams in Slovakia and Belgium. The logistic support in country was assured by the C&M regional representative based in Addis Ababa, and the NOOKOM/C&M experts on site in Libreville, Gabon.
