Bangkok

Organisation of the «AMR activities for Asia in 2021-22»

Number of participants: 50

Planned for end of 2021

Anti-Microbial Resistance (AMR) is a public health crisis and an important topic to be addressed, especially now on the Asian continent. The AMR international conference in Bangkok is planned to happen at the end of 2021, followed by three subsequent technical workshops in Japan, India and China until 2022. Through C&M -service provider of NOOKOM- all services will be organised on-site, as well as on-line to support these four “hybrid” events.

C&M will handle all services concerning the limited physical attendance of 50 participants in a hotel venue and set up a live streaming and broadcasting tools, so that the meeting sessions will be accessible to a wider audience on the internet. Access will be given via a videoconferencing link and social networks. The Events are requested to be planned as “hybrid” over two to three half-days, because of the time zone difference of the participants from Europe. Should that option not be feasible due to sanitary restrictions in those targeted countries, the events might happen in full videoconference. Following the first European Commission AMR action plan in 2011 and currently implementing the European One Health Action Plan against antimicrobial resistance since 2017, the EU advocates for knowledge exchanges and the promotion of successful practices and actions together with its Asian partners.
