The third edition of the Uganda-European Union Business Forum 2024, held from March 5th to 7th in Uganda, emerged as the most significant and influential collaborative event between Uganda and the EU, focusing on business and investment opportunities in the country. The forum attracted a substantial physical attendance – 90 exhibitors and 3600 registered participants in Kampala or online.
President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni graced the event as the Chief Guest, accompanied by several high-ranking officials from the Government of Uganda. Prime Minister Robinah Nabbanja presided over the forum’s closure, symbolizing the shared commitment of both public and private sectors in Uganda and the EU to fortify economic ties.
Within the forum, President Museveni engaged with a select group of European investors, deliberating on the challenges and opportunities associated with investing in Uganda. Additionally, on the concluding day of the forum, a portal was launched to support the private sector and Ugandan entrepreneurs in addressing challenges related to accessing finance.
