Sixth event in the series within the policy dialogue “Gateways for Peace” was organised by C&M, as a member of the Consortium led by Frankfurt School of Finance & Management, on 15 June 2022. The latest webinar, which was focused on Promoting Human Security and Peacebuilding in Eswatini, was opened by remarks of HE Madam Dessislava Choumelova, the Head of the EU Mission to Eswatini.

The webinar panellist discussed issues as:

  • Eswatini Protests and National Dialogue: Key Issues and Actors;
  • Gender and Politics in Eswatini;
  • The Role of the International Community in Supporting a National Dialogue in Eswatini; and
  • The Role of the Church and Civil Society in Supporting a National Dialogue in Eswatini.

 

The online event brought together analysts, policymakers, civil society and the diplomatic community to reflect on peacebuilding and human security in Eswatini and to discern the role for the EU and South Africa in promoting peace and security.
