Consulting & Management (C&M) Awarded EU Contract for Development of Advanced Forensic Laboratory Information Management System in North Macedonia

Consulting & Management (C&M) is proud to announce that our consortium has been awarded a new contract under the EU Framework SEA 2023, Lot 5 – Science, Technology, Innovation and Digital, by the European Union Delegation in the Republic of North Macedonia.

The contract, titled “Development of Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS)” (Contract No. SEA-2023-35327), will run for 12 months and marks a major step forward in the modernization of forensic capabilities in the country. Through this project, we will support the Institute of Forensic Medicine, Criminalistics, and Medical Deontology by implementing a state-of-the-art LIMS designed to streamline laboratory operations and case management processes.

The project’s main objectives aim:

  • Enhance the accuracy, efficiency, and reliability of forensic procedures
  • Ensure compliance with ISO 17025 standards and international best practices
  • Strengthen the Institute’s role in supporting the judicial system
  • Safeguard the integrity of forensic processes
  • Foster regional and international collaboration in forensic science

As specific objectives, our consortium will deliver bespoke software for 19 specialized LIMS modules, will proceed to their deployment , and will run a comprehensive training to ensure the system’s sustainable and effective use by beneficiaries.
