We are delighted to announce that C&M together with our partner Frankfurt School of Finance & Management GmbH under PSF-2019-27742 won the project “Gender-sensitivity training for Mongolian peacekeepers”.

Mongolia is committed to democracy, human rights, and the rule of law, being able to look back at three decades of progress in these areas. The European Union has strategic interest to support Mongolia in such efforts.

The overall objective of this project is to enhance the European Union dialogue and cooperation with Mongolia particularly on security and defense issues, gender equality and human rights, while raising the profile of the European Union as a global, external actor in the region.

The specific objectives are:

  • To increase preparedness and capacities of Mongolian peacekeepers to deal with gender-related issues on the ground, in line and in addition to the existing UN Specialised Training Materials with supplementary courses from the European Union.
  • To support the development of a gender-sensitive and gender-equality human resource approach in Mongolian armed forces, in line with the objectives of the UN Security Council Resolution 1325 on gender and reflected in the Mongolian national strategies, programmes and plans.
  • To reaffirm the European Union’s commitment to strengthen its presence in the region as well as its cooperation with Mongolia as Third neighbour, in the year of the European Union  – Mongolia relations’ 35th anniversary.

The duration of the contract is 12 months.
